Surah-Al-Asr-All-rules-and-Tafseer

Surat Al Asr

On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: Surat Al-Asr was revealed in Mecca.

Arranged in the Quran: It is one hundred and third.

Its verses: Three verses

{(1)وَالْعَصْرِ}

  • It is an oath by the Lord of the Asr time.

Allah Almighty has used oaths several times in the Holy Qur’an, including His saying: (وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ (١) وَطُورِ سِينِينَ (٢) )

  • Ibn Abbas said that its Tafseer  is “time.” (This meaning is the most general and most famous among the majority of commentators).

The time in which the movements of the sons of Adam take place, both good and evil.

It was said that Allah swore by it because it is a lesson for the observer and the meditator.

And because it contains a warning about the change of circumstances, because of all kinds of wonders that pass by it,

It is also an indication of the existence and power of the Creator, the Almighty .

  • It was said that the Asr means an oath to the era of the Prophet.
    Because of his virtue in renewing the prophecy in him,
    The Truth, Blessed and Most High, swore in the time of the Messenger, just as he swore in his place.

{إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ (٢) }

It is the department’s answer (والعصر ).

In his Tafseer of the word (الْإِنسَانَ ) which means generality, That is, human in general, with the evidence of his exception (إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ ).

– In other opinion what is meant by the word (الْإِنسَانَ ) is the A disbeliever in ِ Allah . Ibn Abbas said that.

الْخُسْرَ It is stated in the Muhit dictionary that loss is deficiency or loss and destruction

The truth is that all interpretations of the word (khusar) have the same meaning. It is known that a person has a lifespan whose extent is known only to Allah , and this lifespan decreases every hour of his life passes.

Therefore, a person must invest his life in the paths that Allah , Blessed and Most High, has chosen for him.

If a person commits extravagance on himself, deviates from that right path that Allah intended for him, and spends his life on the path of disbelief and misguidance,
To make his life fade away and disappear, without accumulating the necessary good deeds, which will make his scales heavy on the Day of Judgment.

{إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ (3) }

Definition of faith ( الايمان ):

“أَنْ تُؤْمِنَ بِاللَّهِ، وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ، وَكُتُبِهِ، وَرُسُلِهِ، وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ، وَتُؤْمِنَ بِالْقَدَرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرِّهِ”

“To believe in Allah , His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day, and to believe in predestination, its good and its evil.”

{وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ}

{وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ (3) }

{بِالْحَقِّ} :

By faith ( Tawheed )  and the Qur’an This confirms what God says {فَلاَ تَكُ فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِّنْهُ إِنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ (١٧) }

{وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ}

To advise each other of the necessity of obeying God in everything He has commanded, including adhering to His commands and abstaining from His prohibitions.

The Messenger of God has shown us how to change evil :  “مَنْ رَأَى مُنْكَرًا فَاسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يُغَيِّرَهُ بِيَدِهِ فَلْيَفْعَلْ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ بِيَدِهِ فَبِلِسَانِهِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ بِلِسَانِهِ فَبِقَلْبِهِ، وَذَاكَ أَضْعَفُ الإِيمَانِ”

“Whoever sees an evil and is able to change it with his hand, let him do so. If he is not able to change it with his hand, then with his tongue, and if he is not able to change it with his tongue, then with his heart “And that is the weakest of faith.” .

{وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ}

Patience in the face of calamities and terrors, and whatever evil is among destinies, and likewise patience in the face of harm from those who harm those who enjoin what is right and forbid what is evil.

It was said that it is patience in obeying God, not deviating from His path that is not acceptable to anyone else, and patience in refraining from sins and temptations.
