Introduction for Benefits of Reading Quran Rewards Understanding
اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ
“Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that exists).”( Surah Al-Alaq: Ayah 1).
This Surah was revealed for our prophet to guide him to read and learn. the first word revealed to our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from Allah (SWT) was “Iqra” which means to Read! to seek knowledge! Educate yourselves. As our Prophet (PBUH) said “Talab ul ilmu farizatun ala kulli muslim” i.e.:
“Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim”. it’s obligatory for every and each Muslim to accumulate
knowledge to teach him/her and to fulfil this purpose of education they’re allowed to travel to the farther regions too. The importance of education.
The knowledge and understanding of citizenry is restricted thus we all need guidance and support of Allah at every step of our lives. Allah the Creator of this Universe has placed human beings on a better pedestal; therefore the humans should constantly be seeking more knowledge (Ilm).
Some Baseless Reasons for Ignoring the Recitation with Meaning
1-No Knowledge of Arabic
Muslims read Qur’an as a form of supplication. Since the Holy Book has been revealed within the Arabic language, most of the Muslims think that it’s optional for them to understand the important sense and meaning of Quran. This baseless excuse would are accepted if there are not any translations available.
During present era all kinds of resources are available to realize knowledge; similarly for gaining the important knowledge of Quran translations are available in almost all leading languages. If still any Muslim constraints himself /herself from understanding Quran and from getting innumerable benefits than it’s their trance.
2-Understanding of Qur’an is mandatory for the Scholars (Ulema) only.
There is another baseless excuse; many Muslims consider that the understanding of Quran is compulsory for the religious scholars only and for others the simple reading of the Holy Book is sufficient. this type of thoughts prevents people from learning and reading Quran with understanding and as little knowledge is usually dangerous so as no knowledge is lethal.
The purpose of the revelation of the Quran was to form people understand then lead a life accordingly. Quran itself explains its own simplicity and comprehensibility; thus it’s quite wrong to think that only the religious scholars should know it .
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ (22
And we have made Quran easy for admonition. Is there then any seeker of admonition?”(Qamar :17).
3-Illogical and Misrepresentation of the Facts .
A small section of Muslims believe that if Muslims read the translation of the Qur’an, they may fall victim to the incorrect understanding and should become a prey to mischief. This baseless assumption clearly reflects the unawareness and illiteracy.
If the translations are done by the incompetent persons then it’s going to vary from the important source however we’ve several learned religious scholars who have provided us with the important meaning and proper information about the Qur’an; these translation always prove beneficial for the people.
Reciting Qur’an without Understanding the Meaning
Now after discussing the advantages of reading the Holy Quran with its meaning, i might like to further discuss the difficulty of reciting Holy Quran without reading its translation or meaning.
As several people argue that reading Quran with knowing truth meaning of the words is not such a lot beneficial; there are many examples which show that the recitation of blessed n noble Quran is sort of beneficial within the same way.
The holy Quran is revealed for the guidance of mankind, this guidance isn’t limited or restricted to the Muslims only; any community, clan or clique can gain the profits just by following the simple, easy and safe instructions of the Holy Book.
Conclusion
The above discussion simplifies the importance and magnitude of the Holy Quran. it’s clearly evident that the Holy Qur’an is an amazingly magnificent gift of Allah (SWT) to his slaves. Allah, the foremost merciful and benevolent has instructed the whole humanity to steer a peaceful and happy life.
The recitation also as reading of the Holy Quran with its translation both is rewarding and the value and reward of any can never be lessened than the other. a person who recites the Holy Quran is usually rewarded in one or the opposite way.
The difference between the recitation and therefore the reading with understanding is that of the translation only; if a person recites Quran then also he’s rewarded but reading Qur’an with understanding the meaning can well be believed to be more beneficial within the sense that along side recitation the person becomes aware of the meaning also thus he can follow the shown path more firmly.
