Surah Al-Ikhlas is Allah’s Sifaat ( Attributes ):
«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ رَجُلًا عَلَى سَرِيَّةٍ، فَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ لِأَصْحَابِهِ فِي صَلاَتِهِمْ فَيَخْتِمُ بِـ “قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ، فَلَمَّا رَجَعُوا ذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: سَلُوهُ لِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ؛ فَسَأَلُوهُ، فَقَالَ: لِأَنَّهَا صِفَةُ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَقْرَأَ بِهَا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَخْبِرُوهُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّهُ»
“Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim” from the hadith of Aisha: The Prophet sent a man with a convoy, and he used to read to his companions during their prayers and concluded with (“قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ”), so when he saw They mentioned this to the Prophet,
He said: Ask him why he does that. So they asked him, and he said: Because it is an attribute of the Most Gracious, and I like to recite it. So the Prophet said: Tell him that Allah loves him.

Loving Surah Al Ikhlas necessitates loving Allah .
“قول ابن مسعود: “من كان يحبُّ القرآن فهو يحبُّ الله” Ibn Masoud said: “Whoever loves the Quran loves Allah .”

Loving Surah Al Ikhlas necessitates entering Paradise.
On of Anas, “A man said: O Messenger of Allah , I love this surah: ‘قل هو الله أحد.’” And he said: “Your love for it will admit you to Paradise.”

Surah Al Ikhlas is equivalent to a third of the Quran.
“Sahih Al-Bukhari”, from the hadith of Abu Saeed, that a man heard a man reciting: “Say, ‘قل هو الله أحد’” repeating it. Then when morning came, he came to the Prophet, and he mentioned that to him – and the man was saying it – so the Messenger of Allah – said: And by which My soul is in His hand. It is equivalent to a third of the Quran.”

On of Aisha, “When the Prophet (PBUH)went to bed, he recited it with the Mu’awwidhatayn (Surah Al Nas and Ikhlas) and wiped as much of his body as he could.

Surah Al Ikhlas is The best surahs of the Quran.
“A man said: O Messenger of Allah , which surah of the Qur’an is the greatest? He said: Say: He is Allah , One.”
The reason for the revelation of Surat Al-Ikhlas
On the authority of Ubayy ibn Ka’b, “The polytheists said to the Prophet(PBUH): Mention for us the family of your Lord, O Muhammad. So Allah revealed: ‘Say: قل هو الله أحد .
In other Hadith :
“A Bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and said: Attribute your Lord to us.” So he revealed: “Say, ‘قل هو الله أحد to the end.
In other Hadith :
On the authority of Ibn Masoud, he said: “Quraysh said to the Messenger of Allah : Attribute your Lord to us.” So it was revealed: “Say: قل هو الله أحد.”

The Tafseer (Meaning) of Surat Al-Ikhlas
{قل}
This is the opening of the surah with the command to speak, as in Al-Mu’awwidhatain and Surah Al-Jinn.
{هو} Subjunctive noun.
{ الله أحد }
One of the names of Allah by which Allah is called and no one else is called.
He is the One in His divinity , and the scholars of Tawhid interpreted it as indivisible. If what is meant by that , it is not composed of separate parts.
{الله الصمد }
Scholars disagreed about its meaning. They are close, and the most famous of them are two opinions:
The first: Al-Samad is the master to whom people turn in their needs and demands. This is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas and others.
The second: the Samad which has no cavity, and it is the one who neither eats nor drinks, and the one who has no filling, and it is the one in which nothing enters, and nothing comes out of it.
{ لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ }
Who has not given birth, and has not been born, This great Surah includes affirming the qualities of perfection and denying the shortcomings and defects that are characteristics of created beings through generation and similarity.

عنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: كَذَّبَنِي ابْنُ آدَمَ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ ذَلِكَ، وَشَتَمَنِي وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ ذَلِكَ. فَأَمَّا تَكْذِيبُهُ إِيَّايَ فَزَعَمَ أَنِّي لاَ أَقْدِرُ أَنْ أُعِيدَهُ كَمَا كَانَ، وَأَمَّا شَتْمُهُ إِيَّايَ فَقَوْلُهُ: لِي وَلَدٌ، فَسُبْحَانِي أَنْ أَتَّخِذَ صَاحِبَةً أَوْ وَلَدًا»
Surah Al-Ikhlas and one-third of the Quran
{ وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ }
And there is none equal to Him , This Surah includes his uniqueness and oneness, and that he is not one of the types of creatures; Because the members of each of these races are equivalent and identical .
What do we Learn from this Surah?
This noble Surah included the denial of what is characteristic of the gods of the polytheists from the Lord of the Worlds.
As it was stated in the reason for the revelation that they asked the Prophet about his Lord: What is he from?
