Tafseer, Benefits of the First 4 Ayats of Surah Yasin

Surah Of Yasin first 4 Ayahs

Yasin first 4 Ayahs

قال الله تعالى: {يس (١) }

The meaning of “yasin” :

The first opinion : “Allah knows best what He wants by it,” meaning: We do not know what Allah Almighty intended.

The second opinion: The meaning of “yasin” is oh man, so “ى” is a calling letter, according to their belief, and “س” is a word used to express a human being.

With all the letters of the alphabet with which the surah began like (حم – طه – ص- ق – طسم ), or we say that it has no meaning.

If we judge this general issue regarding every word or letter in the Holy Quran (حم – طه – ص- ق – طسم ), we know that “yasin” has no meaning according to the clear Arabic language, so “ى” is a spelling letter that has no meaning, and “س” is a spelling letter that has no meaning either, and this is the saying. Ibn Kathir – may Allah have mercy on him – mentioned it, so we say: These letters have no meaning.

It has a great significance:

This significance is that you Arabs who were unable to oppose the Qur’an and come up with something similar to it were unable to do so, not because the Quran brought new letters, or new words. Rather, it is one of the words from which you compose your speech, alphabetical letters.

That is why it is rare to find a surah beginning with it. With these letters of the alphabet, the Quran is mentioned after them, which indicates that this is what is meant by them, and this is what Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah – may Allah have mercy on him – went to.

{وَالْقُرْآنِ الْحَكِيمِ (٢) }

The waw (و ) is for oath, it has a meaning, and it has action. Its function is preposition, and its meaning is emphasis, and oath: confirming something by mentioning a major part in a specific form.

The oath to be sworn must be significant, even if it is an estimate in the mind of the divider.

For this reason, the oath must be significant, otherwise the oath would be useless.

{وَالْقُرْآنِ}

What is meant by the Quran is the Quran that we read, the word of Allah Almighty, and it is derived from “recite” meaning recited, because it was recited.

{الْحَكِيمِ}

An attribute of the Quran, which means arbiter, or in the sense of arbitrator, or in the sense of arbitrator, all of which are permissible. The Qur’an is arbitrator because one must refer to it {فَإِنْ تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ}

  • The meaning :

First: It is arbitrator in its arrangement, as each verse is next to the other, even if we think that there is no connection between them, then this is due to our shortcomings.

Second: He is arbitrator in his rulings. All of his rulings are just and in accordance with common sense and clear reason. This is why you will never find anything in the Quran that contradicts common sense. Rather, it is consistent with common sense, and you will not find anything in the Quran that reason disbelieves.

{إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ (٣) }

{إِنَّكَ} O Muhammad

{لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ Because he was preceded by the messengers, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon them, and he is the last of the messengers, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, and the most complete of their laws.

He came to fulfill good morals, and the Prophet – may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him – likened his message to a man who built a palace and built it, but only a brick remained, so people began to circumambulate it and marvel at it, except for the place of this. Al-Lubna said: “I am Al-Lubna, and I am the Seal of the Prophets.

It is confirmed by three affirmatives: the oath, the (ان), and the Laam.

{عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ (٤) }

It is a straight Path that can accommodate groups of people crossing it. They said: Another of its characteristics is that it is level, with no ascent or descent. {straight} is a definite characteristic of it.

That is: there is no distortion in it, and there is no doubt that what the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him,

brought is a straight path, because it is a straight path that can accommodate the entire nation from the time he was sent until the Hour comes, and it cannot be narrow.

It is also a straight path that can never be narrow beyond the legal rulings.

There are benefits in the noble verses, including:

  1.  Explaining that this Quran, which humans are incapable of, was not an innovation of their tongue, but rather of the letters from which they synthesize their speech. This is indicated by his saying: {يس (1)}
  2. -The greatness of the Great Quran; Because Allah Almighty swore by it, and He only swears by something great. The Holy Qur’an is great in itself.
  3.   Praising the Qur’an for being wise in the three ways that we mentioned when saying {وَالْقُرْآنِ الْحَكِيمِ (٢) }.
  4. Taking care to confirm the message of the Prophet – may Allah bless him and grant him peace -; Because Allah Almighty swore by it, and confirmed it in addition to the oath that “in” and “lam.”
  5. The message of the Prophet – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – is proven – whoever denies it is an unbeliever. Because it is a lie to Allah , His Messenger, and the consensus of Muslims.
  6. Proving the messengers and that there are messengers other than Muhammad – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – according to his statement here: { {لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ (٣) }.
